today i am going to tell you a true story about a lifealtering event that happened to an old hunter from tibet’s northern lands.
early in the morning, the hunter saw a group of tibetan antelopes on grass hill near his tent. he rushed out of his tent and mounted his horse with his rifle. the antelopes all quickly ran away except one.
a strong, fat one ran only a few steps and came back. it looked imploringly at him, stepped up towards him and then knelt on its knees with tears streaming down from its eyes. feeling softhearted for a flashing moment, the hunter did not pull the trigger.
but after he shut his eyes, pulled the trigger and the antelope fell onto the ground in a kneeling position with discernible tears still on its face.
the old hunter restlessly cut the tibetan antelope open. what he had saw made him choke on his breath and the knife fell on the ground with a crash. he saw a baby antelope lying in the womb, surely dead.
all of a sudden he realized why the antelope was strong and fat and why it heavily knelt before him and cried: it was imploring him to have mercy on its baby!
the old hunter buried the antelope and its unborn baby together with his hunting rifle that day
i will never f***et this story. today i told it to more people and i’d like to point out: in the world the kneeling of loving mothers, whatever of human being or animal is sacred.

16years ago, my mother visited one of the grassland of inner mongolia. she said that no words could describe it’s stunning natural charm. with her description firmly printed on my mind i began to long for a tour to the grassland.

i was shocked to see the differences between the grassland in my dream and what was in front of me.
on the way home, i thought a lot and tried to find answers.
now i am old enough to bring awareness to other people and share my dream for the grasslands. overgrazing and extensive farming have ruined the grassland and so taken away the charm of our homeland. but i am confident that one day the grasslands will recover and its true wealth and beauty will be realized as long as everybody gives his contribution to restore our homeland.

however sometimes there just aren’t enough players, or you may even be alone in which case you could go for a ride on your bike, maybe, stop by the library to borrow a book, or go for a walk around the park and enjoy the sunshine and scenery. before you know it, you’re having fun.

首先感谢学校领导和老师们给了我这样一次机会，让我能够在这里和大家共同交换教学工作中的一些得失。非常荣幸，但引见经验谈不上，只是在英语教学实践中的一些做法和感悟，有不当之处，请各位多批评指正。
回顾自己将近20年来在英语教学中的点点滴滴，感觉并没有什么特别绝对行之有效的“锦囊奇策”，有的只是严谨的工作立场，灵活的教学方法。总之一句话，有付出就有收获，成绩和平时心血的付出成正比。其实我一直感觉教师与教师之间的常识水平并没有太大的差距，重点是在教学进程中怎样去表现自己，鼓动学生，对上好一节课有无去想办法，有无时刻给自己提纲求，有无经常深思自己的教学方法，下面是我在教学中会经常注意的一些地方。
一、师生关系
良好的师生关系是保证完成教学任务的重要条件，要做一名学生喜欢的英语老师。学生亲其师，方能信其道，乐其道，才能积极的接受教师传授的知识，提高研究兴趣。每个老师都是为了学生好，可是有时学生真的是不领情，那么为什么学生就不明白我们的良苦用心呢？所以建立良好的师生关系显得尤为重要，要想方设法让学生对老师佩服，信服，并且乐于和你交流，愿意听你的话。这就要求我们在各个方面都要加以注意，比如：知识丰富全面，教学敬业，关爱关注学生，风趣幽默，了解孩子的心理，懂得他们的爱好兴趣，尊重信任学生。
二、热情
教师要有饱满的热情，满怀激情地走进教室，要感染学生，激发学生的情感，使课堂气氛活跃，目标一致，焕发英语课堂活力，以达到事半功倍的效果。
想象学生从早到晚，坐在教室里，一节课接着一节课，很容易产生视觉疲劳，听觉疲劳。如果老师总是板着面孔，传授知识，那很难激发学生的研究兴趣。因此，在教学中教师要注意情感的释放，教师走进课堂就应该象演员走进摄影棚，立刻进入角色，动作神态逼真传神，富于激情，用自己的教学热情去激发起学生的相应情感体验，以富有表现力的面部表情，恰当自然的形态动作给学生深刻的感染，加速激活认知能力。
三、课堂气氛
我以为好的课堂教学应当是严厉与宽松相结合的。假如一节课一严到底学生会感到很压抑，久而久之便会对你的课堂失去兴趣，从而对这一科失去研究的信心，甚至还会产生抵触的心理，那就根本谈不上研究效果。可以通过小幽默，小笑话，小比赛，小表演来活跃课堂气氛，让学生愈加自然、轻松、舒畅的研究常识。
四、精讲多练
初中生的注意力集中时间只能持续十五到二十分钟。如果英语老师是“一张嘴，一支笔，从上课讲到下课。”的教学模式，就会出现“老师讲得天花乱坠，学生听得昏昏欲睡”的现象。新课程理念要求我们重视学生在课堂上的主体地位，少讲多练。一节英语课千万不可贪多，讲许多知识点。一节新课可适当降低难度，知识点可精讲精炼。整节课就几个重点反复操练，多读，多用，以达到学生课下能正确运用的目标。比如我会经常实行“一分钟背书”，四五句话看谁一分钟能够背完。“一口气英语”，一个长的句子或两个句子，一口气说下来，中间不准换气，看谁说的最快，最溜。在不知不觉中，很多的重点句型当堂就掌握背熟了。现在我上课只要一说“一口气英语”，学生就会马上兴奋的进入战斗状态。
五、兴趣
对于学生的研究兴趣，我们要特别注意培养和保护，注意教学的活泼性和趣味性，使课堂教学生充满激情和乐趣。而学校白板设施的装置给我们提供了绝好的平台，使我们的课堂得到了无限的扩展，产生了无限的可能，使得从前比力贫乏的教学手腕丰满立体起来。比如英语歌曲，西方民俗，社会现象，热点新闻，小游戏，有趣的小视频等等，都可以充实到我们的课堂中来。比如，对于某些没有研究自傲的学生，我曾经播放过一个网络传播很广的小视频，《死亡爬行》，让他们相信自己，勇于拼搏，同时也学学英语中，鼓励的话都怎样说。母亲节时，我给她们播放了一个英语高手模仿各国母亲说英语，同时号召他们回家实行3H打算，三个H代表一个拥抱（hug），一句谢谢（thankyou），帮妈妈做一件事（help）。本学期开学之初，我给学生们引见了暑假里流行的冰桶挑战，看XXX，XXX，XXX是如何挑战冰桶的'。研究动物称号时，我给他们播放去年的网络英语，狐狸叫，让他们听英语中动物是怎样叫的。工夫一久，这些兴趣就会转化为强大内部研究动机。
六、暗示

英语材的特点，决定了学生在研究过程中只有大胆的进行语言实践，才能真正掌握知识。而我们的学生普遍感到英语研究吃力，慢慢地产生了厌倦畏惧的心理，从而丧失了研究英语的信心。为了摆脱这种状况，我在教学随时利用一切机会，因势利导，以表扬为主，鼓励为辅，暗示他们每一个人都可以把英语学好。比如讲句子结构时，我就会说，英国人特笨，中国人特聪明，为什么？你看，他们把句子最重要的主语“人”放最前边，谓语动词做了什么挨着主语放，其它不重要的时间啊地点啊方式啊原因啊全扔在后边，所以他们说话是这样的，什么人做了什么事怎么样的什么地点什么时间。中国人多聪明啊，重要的放后边，时间啊地点什么的搁前边。我们是这样说的，什么时间什么地点某人做了什么，外国人一辈子都搞不懂。还有，中国人经常会说：“是的，我没有。”但英国人一听就懵了，是的怎么还没呢？他们只能理解“是的，我有”。学生一听，还真是的，这么难的中文我都会了，英语比起汉语真是太简单了。

一、教学特色
在大多数中学，由于学生入学的基础不同和个体差异，在对学生实施分层教学时采用了实验班和普通班的形式。实验班的学生普遍基础较好，学习兴趣较浓，参与课堂活动的积极性较高。而普通班的大部分学生由于学习基础较差，很容易对学习产生一种畏难情绪，特别是英语的学习。如果不在一开始就激发他们学习英语的兴趣，指导他们掌握正确和有效的学习方法，就会使他们对英语的学习丧失信心，从而影响英语教学的有效进行。为了使学生对英语的学习产生兴趣，使他们自觉、主动地参与到英语课堂活动中来，在教学中，我采取了如下的措施：
1、培养与学生之间的感情，拉近师生间的距离。
在学生入学之初，教师应多与学生交流，了解学生的学习情况和思想状况，把学生学习英语的困难分类总结，然后进行集中解答。要做好这一工作，光靠上课时间是不够的。这要求教师在课间走到学生中去，以朋友的身份与学生交谈。在这一过程中，教师不仅能了解学生的情况，帮助学生解决学习中存在的问题，而且能与学生增进感情，拉近师生间的距离。而拉近学生与任课教师的距离，实际上也就拉近了学生与这门学科的距离。学生喜欢某个老师，就会喜欢上这个老师的课，进而对这门学科产生浓厚的兴趣。为了提高学生学习英语的兴趣，我做到如下几点：
1）每个月教学生一首英文歌。叫科代表把歌词抄在黑板上，让他们跟着音乐唱。最后以学生自由组合的方式进行抽查。我平时都会听到学生哼着这些歌。整个学期下来，学生大概能学到4—5首英文歌。
2）真正落实模块任务的执行。例如，我最近讲完健康食物这个模块，就叫学生分组执行模块任务：制作健康食物和饮品的海报。学生都很积极参与到其中，最后由我选出六张很有创意的海报进行表彰，把获奖作品粘贴在课室的学习园地里。整个班级充满学习英语的氛围。
3）每个学期放两部英文电影。找最新的、学生又感兴趣的电影播放。这样既可以提高学习兴趣，无形中也提高了他们英语的听力能力。
4）争强学生的中西方文化意识。当讲到每个模块第三单元的“Around the world”时，我都会把自己预先在网上百度到的有关该话题的中西方文化差异，都一一告诉学生。每年的圣诞节，我会跟学生搞活动。形式是多样的，例如交换礼物，表演英文话剧，知识抢答等。通过这些活动，让学生真正感受到学习英语的快乐。
2、从多个角度对学生的英语学习进行评价。
普通班的学生，由于先天不足，英语水平不可能一下子有很大提高。如果仅从考试成绩去衡量学生的学习情况，必然会打击很多学生的积极性和信心。我的做法是：记录学生的日常英语学习情况，把学生在各方面的表现纳入对学生的总体评价中。例如，平时的作业完成情况、背书的情况、听写的成绩、每次小作文的分数、上课回答问题的积极程度、课堂练习的分数，等等，都是对学生进行评价的重要依据。我很喜欢采用小组合作的教学方法。在每节课上，只要哪个小组回答问题次数最多的，都给记录下来，到期末选出优秀小组进行表彰。
学生对英语学习有了浓厚的兴趣，上课时的表现自然就非常活跃了。但是活跃不代表失控，课堂教学可以顺利进行的前提就是课堂纪律得到保证。所以驾驭课堂的能力也很重要。记得我上一届教过一个“混世魔王”班，这些“精英”们都是无心向学的。我为了能顺利上他们班的课，暗地里做了好多功夫。课间找一些学生聊天，把握住他们的兴趣爱好。例如他们喜欢的偶像是谁，上网喜欢做些什么事情。然后在课堂上，我尽量把这些东西渗透在教学中。他们听了觉得很新颖，觉得我还挺潮流的，跟他们挺合拍的。另外，我在课堂教学中始终贯彻“多鼓励、少批评”的原则，真正让他们体会到老师的苦心。把自己的亲身经历跟他们讲述，他们会觉得我已经进入到他们的世界里面，从而配合我的课堂教学。还有，我很喜欢给他们班的学生听写单词。我采取的方法是：第一天听写不过关，第二天就再听写同样的单词，要是第二天还是不过关，就要按之前的约定罚抄单词了。最后，我狠抓作业完成情况。从七年级开始，我就非常关注每天没交作业的学生，针对性的采取措施，真正落实到位，务必消灭不交作业现象。因为我认为，要是从初一开始，每天班里就有10几个甚至更多的同学不交作业，到了初二就更多人不交，最后到了初三，收上来的作业就剩下几本了，那批改还有意义吗？虽然这个班在最后的升中考试中成绩没有太大的突破，但是对比之前他们是进步的，总算我的付出没有白费。
二、成功感言
我不敢说我的教学是成功的，但是我可以说，我的'教学是快乐的。每当学生节假日给我发来的一条条信息的问候，或者毕业后回来学校找我分享他们的成功的时候，我都会觉得，作为他们的老师，我是幸福的。我一直都祝福着我所教过的学生，希望他们能考上理想的高中和大学。于我而言，最大的成功莫过于“桃李满天下”了。
